Prerequisites:

  • Valid Class 1 Driver’s License.

  • A letter of experience from your employer must be provided in advance. This letter must show 24 months or 150,000kms of documented Class 1 Tractor Trailer driving experience.

  • Proof of Completion of Online or Classroom PDIC (Professional Driver Improvement Course) within the past 48 months.

  • Driver’s Abstract that meets the following criteria:

    • Dated within 1 month of the course,

    • No driving related Criminal Code convictions in the past 36 months,

    • No more than 2 moving violations in the prior 12 months, and no more than 3 moving violations in the prior 36 months. The date of conviction and the current date will be used to determine the time periods.

  • Please provide all required documentation to CCA prior to the course.

Important Information:

  • Arrive 15 minutes before your course start time to check in.

  • Please come to the front entrance on 6A street to get into the building.

  • This program consists of both classroom and in-vehicle time-please dress accordingly and bring PPE.

  • Students can expect to build, drive, and split up an A-Train LCV as part of the in-vehicle training.

  • Course will typically be booked on an Automatic transmission unit, unless otherwise requested.
